The Politically Correct Between a Rock and a Hard Place

New York City Schools recently issued a list of words that publishers who design tests for students are banned from using. I have to chuckle. I wonder if the education elites in New York City wrestled with the heart-wrenching choice before them: become censors (a pejorative they hurl at conservatives who challenge questionable book selections) or risk traumatizing a child because they were exposed to words like “Christmas,” “religion,” and “birthday.”
